I’ve seen this quiz doing the rounds, usually on Sheena, Not A Punk Rockers blog. I thought about entering before, but as usual time was not on my side and I never got around to it. I liked one of the questions this week so figured I would give it a try.
Many thanks to Cee for hosting this challenge. If you would like to enter or find out more information, please click HERE!
Now for this weeks questions and answers:
Have you ever been in a submarine? If you haven’t would you want to?
I’ve never been in a submarine and I don’t believe it is something I would like to try. I wouldn’t really be a fan of enclosed spaces and I can think of nothing worse than being stuck inside a large metal tank miles under the surface of the sea.
I’m thinking my only means of escape would be to fill myself full of beans while wearing a wet suit in the hope that I could float to the surface, that is assuming I don’t blow the crap clean out of myself….literally!
Are you a listener or a talker?
I’d like to think I am a healthy mix of both, but I guess for an honest answer you would have to ask my friends. I sometimes feel I don’t talk about things as often as I should and bottling things up is not healthy. I might start talking to myself, because no one else knows me as well as I do.
Do you prefer Crunchy Peanut Butter or Smooth Peanut Butter? Anything with your peanut butter?
Yuk! Neither thanks. It was just something I could never get used to the taste of. For me it’s a little like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it. Sadly, for the manufacturers, I don’t like either.
Have you ever been drunk?
I’m not really a drinker, I never was. I was usually the one who stayed sober to make sure everyone else got home safe and sound. I’ve been drunk a couple of times, but I don’t like the feeling of not being in control.
A couple of years ago while house sitting for my Sister and Brother in Law I decided I would buy myself a six pack of Non Alcoholic Beer, Becks Blue I believe it was. The weather was warm and sunny and the beers were going down really well. I phoned a friend of mine and asked him could he get me some more and he told me no. I asked why not and his reply was “Because it’s twenty past 1 in the morning you stupid cow, the off licence is closed”. Righty ho, that’ll be a no then. I decided to go into the back yard for a smoke instead. It was then that I realised I was drunk. What a lightweight, drunk after 6 bottles of Non alcoholic beer, I couldn’t believe it. In fact I wasn’t just drunk, I was very drunk and hitting the fresh air had not helped.
When my Sister and Brother in law returned from holiday I was telling them all about it and my BIL goes to get himself a beer. It was then that he realised I had drunk his 6 bottles of extra strength beer and not my Non alcoholic ones. Oops!!
Till next week :)
I wouldn’t have gotten past the first beer, not these days. I used to be able to put it away by the pitcher-full, but that’s been a very long time ago.
ps – the fella in that black suit thing, how the hell do I un-see that? It’s going to creep me out for days.

Ok don’t look at him as a fellow in a dark suit, look at it s me in a wet suit with a lot of methane gas lol Doesn’t that make it better?

No Peanut butter? What?! How?
Lol. I used to hate it, but now I love it. I hate marmite though, if it tastes anything like it smells, then it’s gross.

I dunno really, I have this thing about sweet and savory. I never liked jam either which has the ones in work branding me a total weirdo lol

Jam is too sickly for me, I’m not a fan, I eat peanut butter without sugar in it, it’s freaking amazing! :D

Hmmm I love you dearly, but on that we shall have to agree to disagree lol

I think I’ve got the listener/talker balance all wrong. Sometimes people don’t even realise I’m there. XD Not joking, when I went to a new primary school, loads of people didn’t realise I was there in the first year and only recognised me in the second. :/ I’m shy like that, although I’m a lot better than I used to be. :P

This was my first week for participating, too. I thought it was kind of fun. I hope you keep it up. I really liked the story about drinking the wrong beer. That sounds like something that would happen to me. Luckily, I don’t like beer. Kind of like you and peanut butter. An interesting tidbit about peanut butter. I like it more now than I did when I was younger. I used to be able to kind of take it or leave it. Now it’s more of a regular thing, especially at breakfast. No details, so that I won’t gross you out. ;-)

You know, your tip about the peanut butter should really encourage me to try it again, it has been a while. I’m not promising, but I will give it due consideration and report back on the results :)

Glad I could help. For me it was the same with fried eggs. Didn’t like them when I was younger. Now they’re pretty nice on occasion. Good luck with the consideration and possible experimentation. :-)

snorting like mad at some of the answers …. Geeze Juls – you say I have a way with words? Hah!
I can just imagine your friend giving you crap — and lo and behold, making the honest mistake of having drunk the wrong beer. My oh my, you really *ARE* not a drinker – what with not really recognizing the buzz of a beer so quickly! Lol — still laughing —- but s’okay, love ya anyways. :)

Wanna know what’s worse, I pretty much do get tipsy on non alcoholic beer. Erdinger was the last one I tried, now I dunno if it’s a placebo effect or not, but I giggled the whole way home on the train lol

I can see you sitting giggling to yourself, or those around, and it just cracks me up.
See, just goes to show, one (that would be me) should never quite make certain connections. I would have *thought* that you’d be able to hold your liquor, at least a bit – woman – because you are Irish, lass ;)
Bad on me!

I’ve been on a submarine! it was docked and set up for tours, which only made it more claustrophobic, but….still. It counts LOL

It does and I am impressed. Funny when I was younger I wanted nothing more than to have a scoot in a Yellow Submarine, but when I grew up and saw one close at hand I was like feck dat! lol

Lol the beer story was hilarious — that’s probably something I would have done on purpose-accidental! Too bad about the peanut butter and Marmite, though — I like them both (though I wouldn’t do the Marmite right off the spoon!)

Ah, I remember booze. I drank enough in my 20s to last the rest of my life — now all I have to do is just lean over, give my liver a good squeeze, and I’ve got a nice buzz going the rest of the day. :)

Guinness here is different to other places, I’ve made many people test the theory lol people who don’t like it elsewhere like it here. I’ve been known to have a wee half or two, but its quite heavy :)
