Well hello there. Some of you may have realised (although probably not lol) that I have been absent for the last week. It’s been hectic!
Paul, as in he of Purple Shirt Paul was here for a few days for a holiday, and we have been traveling the length and breadth of Northern Ireland, well ok, perhaps that is a slight exaggeration, but we did cover a fair amount of ground, thank you Sis and Brother in Law for the photo session.
Normal blogging should hopefully resume, but in the mean time I thought I would post a few pictures from our travels to keep you all amused.

The view that greeted us nearly everyday, well before the rain came, on our way into Belfast Central Station.

This guy thought my blog was a great idea and was helping get the word around, apparently he’s an excellent speaker!

The gorgeous views from the shortline at Kearney.

The walk up to the tower almost killed me, but alien leg and I made it and were quite proud of ourselves.

Last one is for you Rob, to let you see how the surfers roll over here. I’m guessing the waves are no where near the size of the ones you guys have, but they still manage!
Another set of beautiful pics. Welcome back! :-)

Thank you, how have you been? I’ve missed everyone, but we’ve been trying to cram as much as possible in, trying to see all the things he didn’t see on his other visits.

Lol, not overwhelming, but keeping me busy. My posts aren’t as often as I would like, but you can’t be picky I guess. ;)

No you can’t! And I cannot stress enough how important a good education is. I wish I had listened when people were telling me. It might have saved me flunking first time round and having to go back and do resits lol

Where I’m at are zero waves, so any is an improvement, but I’d try the surf in Norn Iron, if there’s someone there to teach it! I bet it’s wetsuit surfing too.

Ok talk to me like I am an imbecile, actually I am so anyways what’s the difference, is wet suit surfing where you go on a board in huge waves wearing a wet suit? (DO NOT say duh!) You would love Whitepark Bay, that’s where a lot of the surfing goes on.

Those guys on Sunday were amazing to watch though, they were doing flips and everything….that will be you soon!!
P.s This is Whitepark Bay, strangely enough taken the same day as the Rathlin shot lol

If you’re an imbecile then you’re in good company. I take it for granted that surfers use a wetsuit where the water or weather is pretty cold, it helps trap your body heat inside the suit. I’ve been assuming that climates farther from the equator where surfers go, like where you are, Russia, Croatia, etc. would see wetsuited surfers more often than not. Like I said this is all based on assumption and I’ve always marveled at how one can spend hundreds of dollars on a board and can get a full wetsuit for less than fifty.

Ahh now it makes sense. Yes they are wet suited to within an inch of their lives over here because it’s feckin freezing all year round lol I can’t stand on a skateboard, so I have no chance on a surfboard.

Nah I’m not a big drinker, Whiskey just burns the throat lol You ever had Bushmills Whisky? Thats from up the North Coast lol We could give you Poteen, that would shake the shit clean outta your shoes lol

Well that sounds like a challenge. I’ve never heard of Poteen (that’s whiskey?), but I have heard of Bushmills. Around here, the big talk of Irish is Jameson’s or the Feckin’ Irish.

That’s hilarious, I’ve never heard of Feckin’ Irish ffs lol Jamesons is brewed down south as far as I know. Bushmills up North. At the end of the day the result is always the same, you’ll be pished as a fart lol

Lol yeah I had this feeling the Feckin’ is something they make to sell in the US. The price is right, for sure. I gotta check out the Bushmills though. Haven’t had it yet. Now I just need a reason… :)
