It looks like there will be no more breaking wind! Well not with the right hair colour anyway, it would seem that Bitstrips on Facebook is no more.
I am devastated, I loved using their little cartoons to brighten up my blog. You’ll have to bear with me until I get used to the newer version which is only available on the phone, Breaking news is most likely to become ‘Guess What’
I perhaps do not look as deathly pale in the newer one as I did in the old, although I still look a bit gormless which is good.
Gormless (British Informal) – Lacking sense or initiative; foolish
Kinda fits right!?
So what’s been happening I hear you ask, well actually quite a lot and then again not a lot at the same time. It’s been busy, but my days have been filled with work and then all the other crap at home, there has been little time for either blogging or merry making.
This past weekend was a tough one emotionally, two mornings in a row I was woken up before even the birds had given their first chirp with Mothership issues. We got them sorted, but being yanked out of sleep like that has a knock on effect for the whole day. I tend to regress into myself when things like that happen, a side effect of the anxiety perhaps. No matter how calmly or cleverly we deal with the situation, the guilt always comes knocking, even after everything has calmed down.
I was thinking a lot about my blog over the weekend too, seems to be that thinking is all I do at the minute because I am getting very little time to write. I’m not sure how I keep writing for what I effectively want to be known as a ‘Humour’ blog when all I actually want to do most nights is either bang my head repeatedly against a wall or hide under the duvet. So if things seem a little up and down at the minute it’s because I am currently teetering in the middle of a see-saw trying to find the correct balance between everything and trying not to lose either myself or my sense of humour in the process. It’s not feckin easy sometimes.
For those of you who are wondering, the tooth removal went ok thank you very much, despite the fact it took three injections before there was any numbness. I like my Dentist, she seemed to just go with the flow as I sat in the chair and rambled on…and on….and on. Scale and polish done and dusted and it was time for the grand finale. Through half closed eyes I saw her advance towards me with a pair of what looked suspiciously like BBQ tongs, at that point I shut my eyes completely. After a bit of hauling and twisting she tells her assistant she will need a bigger pair and I’m thinking I need a bigger pair too…of pants, cos I’m a fart away from filling the ones I am wearing, I’m that scared.
A few more hauls, yanks and twists and turns and out comes the tooth. I was a little disappointed there was no audible pop, just a ripping noise….*shudders* I asked the assistant if I could take the tooth home, she looked a little curious as to why I might want to do this, so I told her I was going to smash it with a hammer. Seemed kinda therapeutic to me considering that it was anxiety that caused me to lose the tooth in the fist place. In the end I didn’t do anything other than toss it in the trash. I’ve a huge hole…oo er mrs!!
I’m sure I probably had more to tell you, but to be honest I’ve run out of steam and it’s time to go and feed the Ships.
Hope everything is fine and dandy with the rest of you. Be sure to let me know about any REALLY exciting things in the comments.
Till next time eejits!

Gormless sounds like a monster from a fantasy book. Now that I know the meaning, I want to be The Gormless One. And yes, take as much time as you need so you don’t lose that humor or your sanity. :)

Lol no offence but you’re too smart to be gormless :)

I did have to have a wisdom or two pulled, yea back in the day, and I remember that rending sound. You really want it to be like a cork out of a bottle. Or maybe you just want to hear a cork pop out of a bottle, after that.

Hmm or the tooth pops out of the whole like a cork out of a bottle followed by a rush of some alcoholic beverage. That sounds like a plan lol

Gormless is such a descriptive word isn’t it, I had a friend once who used it very aptly about her son…..sorry to hear life is as it is Juls but retaining your wicked sense of humour is what will get you through each day otherwise as they say you’ll go mad yourself….take care..

Well, I’m not too smart for Gormless, I’m just a hillbilly, remember? As for the Bitmoji thing, I went ahead and signed up too, and by the way, if you use Chrome on your computer, you can get the Bitmoji extension and use them in email, messengers, almost anywhere. I know, I’m a dork. Anyway … I know exactly what you mean and how you feel and what you’re going through as far as the Mothership goes. It is a nightly ritual for me. Usually starts around midnight and goes off and on for the rest of the night. Panic and anxiety? Yup, same here love.
Big hillbilly hugs to ya!

I was faced with a decision about a tooth a few weeks ago: pull or crown. Being a back molar, I opted for the crown although twice as expensive due to the fact the roots were a mile long and the dentist said it would need twilight anesthesia to get it out. I much preferred the 30 minutes of drilling and tooth burning for the crown.
Honestly, despite the “ups and downs” you speak of, there is always an injection of humor in your posts. Chuckled out loud at the “one fart away from filling the ones I’m wearing.” I can sympathize with you about the dentist though, definitely not my favorite place to be. Had way too many horrible experiences growing up with butchers that called themselves dentists. I did get to watch my crown made right in the office, it pleased my inner-geek.

Thank you for the injection of humour comment, it’s nice to know I still have it in here somewhere, because often times I forget.
I opt for the tooth out over the root filling every time. Had a couple of them done and was in pain for 3 days before the teeth ended up having to come out anyway lol

Glad that the whole dentist thing went okay – all things considered. Crying shame and definitely exhausting to constantly be on “high alert” with the mothership, but it is understandable because any thing can be a trigger that, through no fault of her own, becomes a waking nightmare. So yeah, it’s beyond tough – but eh??? a word of advice….. oh fer cryin’ out loud – put your brain on ice! Seriously, I know I know …. your mind whirls and spins and it’s not good being in the always ‘thinking’ zone – so just take it as it comes …. you know …. take care of you …. watch lots of mindless t.v., read blog posts as you can, but don’t pressure yourself to keep up ….. write a few Vogon poetry posts …. that ought to set you right as rain ;)
Seriously …. just take care of you….. and we’re hereeeeeeeee …. waiting in the wings, whether you have something funny or not to share.
Lots o hugsssssssss ((((((((((Juls)))))))))))

I think I just have to prepare myself that things are going to change and probably not for the better. I did go out the other night though as in out out, into bars and stuff shock horror. I came home and the Mothership had been kicking off with the Fathership all day and I was all like meh whatever lol I was chilled out for a change. I just wish I had the money to do it a little ore often, like once every 6 months perhaps lol

Always glad to offer hugs galore to you Juls :D
Well unfortunately things will change, but as you’ve said, probably not for the better, and that’s the unpredictability of dementia. :(
I’m glad that you did get out and it was out out – it’s kind of a normal reaction that you were “meh” upon your return; you’re under so much stress all of the time, that eventually the wonky top box just says “enough” – and refuses to process it any more. It’s just such a difficult situation, because it’s hard to kick the “guilt” habit – but you do deserve and need breaks too. And I hope that somehow, in some way, you manage to get in some more, much needed “you time” more often.
So more hugssssss Juls

A new word for my fake British accent vocabulary.
It may be sad to lose the use of the cartoon tools–though you say you still have one version you can use?–but one probably should not depend on others to supply you online with such tools. Maybe there is a software you can install on your PC that you get in a store which will give you endless hours of cartooning fun…until you get a new PC, again.
Your dentist experience gave me hives. Three injections…cripes. I’d be bristling at just one. By the third, I’d be ready to toss the tool tray in the dentist’s face and accuse them of amateur tactics.
I went through the tong bit myself when I had braces. They pulled two of my rear molars. Not even sure why now. [I forget.] That was after having a crank box installed in my mouth to expand my upper jaw which was apparently misshapen. Good times… NOT!

Cartoon programs cost a lot of money and time is in short supply too so I’ll take what I can get lol
Yeah I had braces also, along with the teeth removal to facilitate them, in those days it was twilight sleep, they counted to three and next thing you woke up with your head in a sink spitting blood lol
LikeLike
If the programs are so costly, are you paying to use them? And, if so, this could get out of hand for both supplier and user.
Ew. No. I don’t recall any twilight haze. I recall being tilted back, a pair of pliers and some quick but painful action, surprising me with how easily they removed my big teeth as if I was made of Lego bricks. As for the blood…I try to forget that bit. Bleh!

Well that explains the missing ham. And Juls, how could you? You threw your tooth into the trash? What a selfish thing to do. What about the tooth fairy… what about the cash… what about me! I guess it’s back to dumpster diving. The good news is, I hear the tooth fairy has stopped doing DNA test on teeth found under pillows—cutbacks. If I can just find your tooth I stand to make out financially. :D
