Two of the blogs I follow have come up with interesting ideas to help make us all feel a little happier in the New Year.
My good friend over at A Prompt Reply has started 52 Weeks of Gratitude and Trent over at Trent’s World has started Weekly Smile. Now I’m not saying I’ll be able to participate in both of these regularly, because we all know I suck at being regular, but I think that sometimes in the midst of the mire it’s not a bad idea to sit down and remember that there are good times.
Seeing as these two challenges are similar in design and I am strapped for time….busy…ok, lazy, I though I would scrunch them together under the heading Smiling Gratitude.
So what am I grateful for this week I hear you ask, well that’s simple, Blog Friends.
If I had never decided to start a blog (Yes yes Paul, thank you once again, I know you forced me into it!) I would never have met so many wonderful people.
Where else in the world would you get a community who just is, exists, and manages to do so without killing each other (that I know of anyway). Free advice, support, hugs and love come as standard and if you need an extensive knowledge base to question, well look no further.
They say you get what you give, but here, even on days when you have nothing to offer you still receive and are welcomed home with open arms after long absences.
There is comedy, drama, music, and entertainment a plenty.
This week I smile with an attitude of gratitude for all the friends I have met through the wonderful world of WordPress.

Now see there?! You did it and you did it well! I’m SO PROUD AND IMPRESSED! You also STOLE MY IDEA for my next post! OMG. Now you get to be relaxed and I have to start thinking again! Just kidding, Jules. This is fab and I love it! Thanks….you just made the worst day ever a whole lot better.

Oh crap, have I stuffed it up. I had to read the post in two sections due to interruptions from the Mothership, so did I completely miss that there was a theme? I thought we had to just think of something each week to be grateful for…sorry, am I a clutz!
Just cos I wrote that this week can you still not write it next week and I’ll change mine to week two :)

Combining 2 in one for smiling gratitude works :) I agree, the community I have found on WP is amazing. There are some great people out there. People from all over and many different backgrounds and yet we all get along pretty well. Thanks for joining and sharing your smile! And if you have time put your post on the link up so others can come by and share your smile and your gratitude!

You weren’t the only one to combine. And do you know, one of the things that made me smile and made me grateful last week was all of the people who participated in the Weekly Smile! So no way was I going to be ungrateful and cross if some combined events :)

I didn’t :( Saturday is not a great day for me, tis housework day. Mum used to go shopping with her friend but that hasn’t happened for a bit, so I have her all day Saturday too. I tell ya, my life is not my own lol

These seem like awesome ideas! I may have to implement them myself! I love your idea of merging them into one! I think you did a great job of the post :) I used to do a thing aways from blogging where I would try and pay people a compliment each day!
In relation to you post, I’m grateful to be a part of your community. I think you have been a follower of mine for as long g as I can remember and whenever I get a comment or like from yourself, it truly makes me smile and makes my day xXx

P.s That’s weird, I just read your potato milkshake post and it says I’m not following you, even though you show in my reader! The zombies are close, fire the spuds at them lol I can’t comment, my phone gets stuck in some jet pack thing, will try and rectify this later :)
